Founded by Stephanie Martineau, Smart Design evolved from a background in interior decorating and a passion for handcrafted design. After years of sourcing material and running our own custom projects on our Thunder Laser, we realized that the biggest hurdle for makers wasn't just finding colours— it was finding the right sizes and consistent, professional-grade cast acrylic that didn't result in wasted material and wasted money.
We’ve pivoted from making the finished product to sourcing the perfect palette for your projects. We don't just sell acrylic; we sell the exact materials we trust for our own laser.
Why Us
Curated Colours: We offer a hand-selected collection of "Essential Classics." Most of our cast acrylic features a dual-sided finish—matte on one side and glossy on the other—giving you two looks in a single sheet.
The "Value Choice" Sizing: We specialize in the 12x15" sheet. It provides 25% more cutting area than a standard 12x12", giving you the space you need for medium-sized projects at a lower price point than traditional 12x19" sheets.
The 6x12" Versatile Blank: The perfect "sample-size" format for wedding table numbers, bookmarks, jewellery, and more. This size allows you to diversify your palette by picking up 3 or 4 different colours for the price of one "standard size" sheet—giving you the variety you need without being "stuck" with unusable scraps.
Maker Experience: We don’t just sell sheets; we understand the chemistry and craft behind them. Because we work with these materials daily, we provide the insights you need for a perfect cut.
